How often does Berkhamsted Poetry Society meet?

We meet generally every third Wednesday of the month. If this date changes members will be notified by email and through our WhatsApp group.

Where are the Poetry Club meetings held?

Currently we meet upstairs in the Lounge, at the Mad Squirrel Tap Room, 104 High Street. Berkhamsted

How do I join a meeting for the first time?

Simply email and request to come along. You will be very welcome!

Do I have to be a member to participate?

No, we welcome visitors who are just curious and want to see what the Poetry Club is all about. Participating in sharing or reciting your work is not compulsory but we're confident you will feel comfortable enough to do so!

Do I have to be good at writing poetry to attend?

We are all writing and exploring our capabilities as we go! This is about enjoying the art of creating poetry rather than being a perfect poet! Besides, what's 'good' anyway... ?!
